As much as I love writing and web design, I have always made the excuse that I don't have time to blog. Yet here I am at 1 a.m. writing unit summaries and uploading pictures. Why?
I was joking with my friends about this project, and somehow blogging came up. At first we laughed at the idea, but it stuck with me. Surprisingly, I have really enjoyed planning this unit, and I am already enjoying sharing it with others, with you!
While I certainly don't expect to persuade all teachers to duplicate my project, I hope my discoveries and resources will make someone else's planning easier. I'd like to include resources and activities that I use to complement The Very Hungry Caterpillar in centers, as well as those for Group Writing projects. Other information I hope to add soon includes how to find live caterpillars and how to publish a class book.
Beyond compiling and presenting my resources, I'd like keep my own caterpillar log, just like I'm asking the students to do. I can't wait to post pictures and begin telling their story... our story.
